UPTOWN VOCAL

Since 1991, Uptown Vocal has been cooking up new and exciting covers of all of your favorite jazz, pop, and rock standards. 

Our group started as the "Catatonics" under the leadership of David Wienir, Rachel Tepfer, and Rachel Harmon. It wasn’t until 1995 that we took on the name "Uptown Vocal," and quickly became Columbia University’s favorite (and only) jazz a cappella group. 

We've performed all over! On college campuses, cruise ships and morning shows; we've played bars, the White House, and the Yankee’s 100th Anniversary Dinner. One time we even opened for Ben Folds!
